Translation:
Duke Huan of Qi went hunting, riding on his prized horse, wearing armor and holding a spear. His ministers followed him, with the sound of carriages and horses causing the air to be filled with dust. The Duke gazed up at the celestial stars and down at the terrain, pondering deep thoughts as his countenance displayed solemnity. As they journeyed through treacherous mountains and along the banks of rivers, they encountered fierce wild beasts that the Duke eagerly aimed to capture or kill. The beasts roared in agitation, and the birds scattered in fear, presenting a shocking and impressive sight. After returning, the ministers reported, "We humbly offered a banquet in an extraordinary location, on behalf of the Heavenly Emperor's special decree. We are honored to have received your Majesty's command." The Duke replied, "I am concerned for my people, that is why I embarked on this hunting trip to bring them comfort. Those who have merited achievements will be rewarded, for this is an effort to recognize their contributions. You all should fulfill your duties with utmost dedication, diligently labor for the people, and not forget the standards of a loyal subject." The ministers kowtowed, expressing their obedience and loyalty.
